Founding Story
In the thick of the pandemic, my world went quiet and chaotic all at once. Meetings blurred into late-night doom scrolling, family worries sat heavy on my shoulders, and the news felt like an endless drip of anxiety. I was pouring energy into every role: leader, caregiver, friend, yet inside I felt strangely empty.
One night I traded my phone for a blank canvas and a set of oil paints. I had little idea what I was doing after a break from creating art for ten-plus years but that wasn’t the point, I just wanted to get my mind off of everything and give it a chance to breathe. As I got further into the the session I began to feel something I hadn’t in ages, flow.
That spark sent me down a rabbit hole of psychology and personal-development research. I earned certifications and finished countless books on positive psychology, resilience, and what we now call emotional fitness. I began weaving tiny, science-backed practices into my days: waking without my phone in my hand, doodling and breathing breaks during the busy workday, and gratitude acknowledgments at night and noticed my inner glow rebuilding.
The more my life brightened, the easier it was to find the tiny sparks in life, the beautiful moments, and even ability to savor the darker moments for what they are: a chance to grow.
I deeply felt the need to hand those simple tools to others who felt just as overextended as I did during those tough years.
Kindvibe was born from that circle. Today, it’s a welcoming space where overextended caregivers, girl-bosses, empty-nesters, and the like, gather to reclaim their spark one simple ritual and encouraging conversation at a time. Everything I learned during that pandemic pivot now lives here for you, wrapped in community and grounded in science.
